It is with regret that I advise all personnel that Retired Chief Superintendent Barrie WATKINS (Reg No 853) suffered a stroke on the 15 July and passed away on the 28 July last.
Barrie joined the MFB on 12 February 1952 and retired on 13 February 1987 after serving the Brigade and the Community for 35 years.
After serving at FS 1, Barrie served at various stations including FS 18, FS 19, FS 21, FS 14, FS 47 and the Fire Protection Department.
