It is with regret that I advise all personnel that Retired Senior Firefighter Les PATERSON (Reg No 794) passed away on Friday 7th December.
Les joined the MFB on the 15th October 1951 and retired on 19th August 1977 after more than 26 years of service to the Brigade and the Community. On joining the Brigade he served at Headquarters for a brief period before transferring to Southern District where he served at FS 24 and FS 25.
He later transferred to Eastern District and served at FS 23 and finally at FS 22.
A funeral to celebrate Les’s life will be held in the Weroona Chapel, Bunurong Memorial Park, 790 Frankston – Dandenong Road, Dandenong South on THURSDAY December 13th commencing at 12 noon.
